Amanda Anisimova enjoyed a touching moment with a young fan after her first round win at the Adelaide International 2.
The Russian-American star is competing at the event ahead of this year’s Australian Open and took time to speak and take photos with a number of her supporters.
One fan was particularly excited to speak with Anisimova and the adorable moment between herself and the 21-year-old was caught on camera.
Anisimova shares heartwarming moment with fan
Anisimova was busy taking photos with members of the crowd, when a young girl requested a photo of her own.
The world number 22 posed for the camera to the delight of the young girl, who was clearly overjoyed to be meeting the tennis star.
Before leaving, the girl turns to Anisimova and gave her a huge hug, much to the satisfaction of the remaining people in the stands.

How did fans react?
Understandably, fans loved the incident and many responded to the clip on social media.
“The way she looks at her asking for a hug,” said one Twitter user.
“Aww… love this,” stressed another.
A third added: “SO CUTE OMG.”
Who is Amanda Anisimova?
Anisimova turned professional in 2016 and has been ranked inside the top 100 for the past four years.
A promising junior –– Anisimova won her first WTA title at the Copa Colsanitas in April 2019, at the age of just 17.
That same year, she upset Simona Halep at the French Open, on course to making the semi-finals.
At the last Australian Open, Anisimova beat defending champion Naomi Osaka and went on to make the fourth round.
The 21-year-old also made the quarter-finals of Wimbledon in 2022.

How is Anisimova getting on in Adelaide?
Anisimova notched her first match victory since August by defeating Liudmila Samsonova in the opening round of the Adelaide International 2.
Next up, the US star will play Brazil’s Beatriz Haddad Maia.
Elsewhere, Paula Badosa overcame Anett Kontaveit in straight sets –– hitting five aces and winning 77 percent of first-serve points.

Badosa and Kontaveit both reached as high as number two in the rankings, though neither have won a Grand Slam title.
Barbora Krejcikova, who is also a former world number two, beat last year’s runner-up Alison Riske-Amritraj.
