The Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship makes its debut in Norfolk, VA on Friday, March 24 at the Norfolk Scope Arena with BKFC 39: Barnett vs Alvarez. The fight card includes a number of bare-knuckle boxing fights, with two titles on the line in the main event. A limited number of event passes are still available for purchase.

Reggie Barnett Jr (8-2) of Chesapeake, VA defends his BKFC bantamweight championship against Daniel Alvarez (1-0) of San Diego, CA in the main event. The latter stepped in on short notice to replace previously stated challenger Gustaf Cedermalm (1-0) of Sweden.

Bare-knuckle boxing fans in the United States can watch BKFC 39: Barnett vs Alvarez live stream on FITE. The date is Friday, March 24. The start time is scheduled for 9 pm ET / 6 pm PT.

The preliminary card begins at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT.

    BKFC 39 Preview

Britain Hart (6-3) of Bedford, Virginia defends her BKFC strawweight championship in a rematch against Jenny “Savage” Clausius (3-1) of Clarksville, Tennessee in the co-main event. Hart won their first battle by third-round stoppage in July 2021. The complete schedule is listed below.

Here are our top three stories for Old Dominion’s epic debut this weekend.

In The Main Event, A Legend Returns

It’s only fitting that the best bare-knuckle fighter to ever name Virginia home, Chesapeake’s Reggie “Educated Hands” Barnett Jr., gets to compete in the Main Event of the state’s first BKFC event. He retains his BKFC World Bantamweight Championship against Daniel Alvarez, a rising challenger. Barnett Jr., a genuine bare-knuckle fighting icon, made his Squared Circle debut at BKFC 1. This weekend, he will become the first fighter in BKFC history to participate in the Squared Circle 11 times. As a last-minute replacement for Barnett, Alvarez moves up to the scratch line. The tenacious Mexican-American boxer is still young, but he jumped at the chance to face the champ and give his career a boost. Alvarez is looking for his second jaw-dropping finish after a first-round stoppage win over No. 1 ranked BKFC flyweight JR Ridge in his BKFC debut. Will Barnett Jr. add another feather to his historic cap, or will Alvarez rise to the moment and pull off the upset of a lifetime?

In The Co-Main Event, There Will Be A World Title Grudge Match

Britain in Bedford, Virginia Hart, the baddest female bare-knuckle fighter to ever come from Virginia, is ready to put on a show for her home supporters when she defends her BKFC World Women’s Strawweight Championship against Tennessee’s Jenny “Savage” Clausius in the Co-Main Event on Friday. Hart (6-3, 2 KOs) is BKFC’s most active female fighter and the only one to beat Clausius (3-1, 2 KOs) in the Squared Circle. There is no love lost between these two outspoken fan favourites, and both fighters are eager to put an end to this exciting grudge battle with a KO.

    Complete Action Plan

The Main Event and Co-Main Event on Friday are two of the most exciting fights in recent memory, but BKFC’s debut in Virginia features a full slate of other must-see bouts, including the Feature Fight of the night between UFC vet Dustin “The Disciple” Pague (1-1, 1 KO) and James “Knucklehead” Dennis (1-1, 1 KO), as well as the return of fan favourites Jay “Action” Jackson (2-2, 2 KOs (0-1). Pat “The Gorilla Ninja” Casey, a five-time Bellator MMA veteran, will make his Squared Circle debut on the BKFC 39 free Preliminary Card.

    BKFC 39 Norfolk tickets

BKFC 39: Barnett vs Alvarez tickets are on sale for Friday, March 24 at Norfolk Scope Arena in Norfolk, VA.

Tickets for BKFC 39 are available from Vivid Seats, StubHub, and TicketNetwork.
