At BT Sport studio, the Cage Warriors 151 middleweight championship will be at stake.
On March 24 at Cage Warriors 151, Mick Stanton and Will Currie will square off for the empty Cage Warriors middleweight championship.
This is the newest “Unplugged” event, and it’s being held at the BT Sport studios in Stratford, London, because of the venue’s unusual arrangement, which provides a more personal atmosphere for the bouts. It’s the closest thing the UK has to a UFC Apex event, and it gives Cage Warriors’ events a whole new feel.
The first session of Cage Warriors 151: Unplugged will be led by Team Renegade’s Matty Byfield, who will seek to ride the wave of energy from colleague Leon Edwards’ huge championship defence at UFC London last weekend.
The evening will culminate in a five-round bout between rising prospect Will “Drago” Currie and former title rival Mick “The Huyton Hammer” Stanton for the large, gold crown.
In addition to many CW regulars and rising stars, this event will feature former winners Matt Bonner and Agi Sardari.
He’s going up against Prince McLean, a TUF fighter from the United States.
After current UFC champion Christian Leroy Duncan abdicates on New Year’s Eve, a new middleweight monarch will be crowned during the second segment.

Cage Warriors 151 Preview
In the main event, Stanton and Currie will square off in a clash of the ages in the ring. Stanton, now 36 years old, is a seasoned veteran of the disciplines of boxing, mixed martial arts (MMA), and submission wrestling. The quality of competition he has encountered on the UK and European stage is not reflected in his 10-7 MMA record, which includes noteworthy wins over former UFC fighter Darren Stewart and Alex Montagnani.
After beating Stewart by a majority decision, Stanton fought in the Professional Fighters League (PFL) and then returned to the UK stage to face Full Contact Contender. He’s back in the ranks with Cage Warriors now, and he has his sights set on the empty 185-pound belt.
One of the most promising youth fighters in the organization is his opponent. With only one loss to current UFC middleweight and previous Cage Warriors middleweight king Christian Leroy Duncan, Currie has had a stellar year in the octagon.
Since then, he has gone from a promising up-and-comer to a legitimate championship threat, with four victories in his last four bouts, including three knockouts in the first round. With one more victory, he will be wearing the Cage Warriors championship belt.
In the co-main event, Cage Warriors veteran Steve Aimable will face off against Alberth Dias of Brazil, marking his 15th walkout as a Cage Warriors combatant.
After having his four-fight win streak broken by Harry Hardwick at Cage Warriors 145, “Diddy Kong,” a mainstay of Cage Warriors cards for the past few years, will be trying to get back on track.
Former lightweight winner Agy Sardari also hopes to get back on top at Cage Warriors 151. After winning the lightweight championship at Cage Warriors 121 in March 2021, “The Wolverine” lost it in his first title defence to Joe McColgan. He then lost the Cage Warriors lightweight championship for a second time by unanimous decision to Michal Figlak, who was later signed to the UFC.
With a win over Samuel Blasco, a 10-9 record Spanish prospect who is making his Cage Warriors debut, Sardari will seek to leave those losses in the rearview mirror.
